About the team
The Associate Experience Design Team – Global Front End is dedicated to delivering seamless and engaging user experiences through thorough research, prototyping, and interaction design. The team works closely with stakeholders to align design strategies with business objectives, ensuring solutions effectively address customer needs. By utilizing user insights and data analysis, the team continuously enhances usability and satisfaction. Members apply best practices in user experience and maintain clear communication across functions to foster innovation and deliver impactful digital products on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to identify experience gaps and inform design strategies.
- Develop and refine interaction designs and user journeys based on data analysis and emerging consumption trends.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align UX solutions with business goals and communicate design rationale effectively.
- Create prototypes and detailed design specifications adhering to user-centered principles and platform guidelines.
- Lead usability testing efforts, analyze feedback, and iterate designs to enhance product effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Manage partnerships to integrate UX insights into product development and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience designing user experiences that bridge between physical environments and digital products (e.g., self-service kiosks, self-checkouts, registers, food-ordering kiosks).
- At least 5+ years of experience working as a UX Designer, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of building design systems.
- Ability to work through ambiguous problems for different types of users operating in the same environment.
- Proven expertise in user experience design, including user research, prototyping, and interaction design.
- Design for users who use in-store experiences to do their job and operations, as well as for customers who are purchasing or needing help in a store.
- Strong ability to conduct user discovery through interviews, surveys, and journey mapping to identify gaps and improve UX strategies.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships with effective communication, engagement, and consensus-building skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and business strategies.
- Skilled in usability testing, iteration, and applying user-centered design principles across digital platforms.
- Ability to develop detailed design specifications, wireframes, and prototypes aligned with business goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
- Option 2: 5 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Design certification (e.g., IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate).
- Driving product development in a user experience area.
- Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area.
- Related industry experience (e.g., retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).
- Experience in UI/UX, Interactive and Visual Design, Electronics Art, Multimedia Design, or related area.
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
