Senior UX Designer, AI Systems Knowledge and Intelligence Engine
About the role
At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Our Visual Designers weave space, typography, color, and iconography to help people successfully navigate our products, ensuring they are beautiful and accessible. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to leverage user insights and create industry-leading products. As a Visual Designer, you will rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution. You will collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.
Responsibilities
- Transform complex qualitative and quantitative data into rich, actionable narratives and dashboards to drive executive decision-making.
- Apply AI-fluent, user-centered design to deliver end-to-end solutions, from initial technical discovery to final polished assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX researchers, software engineers, and product managers to translate technical constraints into seamless user experiences.
- Design tools and systems for audiences, addressing the distinct information needs of individual contributors and executives.
- Create seamless onboarding experiences and data narratives that improve the perception and efficiency of AI tools across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design.
- Experience in data visualization and translating data into stories.
Qualifications

Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience incorporating generative AI, large language model (LLM) APIs, and agentic workflows into user experiences.
- Experience in using data to tell compelling stories through interactive media.
- Experience applying frameworks to align design outcomes with organizational goals and performance standards.
- Familiarity with technical prototyping (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

Pay
US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
