Senior Utility Services Worker

Description

Under general supervision, this position provides maintenance and repair support for wastewater operations.

Examples of Duties

  • Provides technical support in consultation with crew leaders on site plans, utility reviews, and locations;
  • Performs inspections;
  • Ensures an adequate supply of inventories of all parts and equipment;
  • Transports equipment and sets up safety zones;
  • Instructs staff for job preparation;
  • Fixes problems and handles maintenance;
  • Cleans up tools, job sites, and safety equipment;
  • Checks and maintains equipment, to include fueling;
  • Restocks inventory, parts, and supplies;
  • Makes sure daily assignments are completed.

Assists Crew Leader with Administrative Duties

  • Assists with administrative tasks as directed by the crew leader.

Experience and Training

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a utility services worker or in a similar position is required.

Certificates and Licenses Required

  • A Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain one prior to employment;
  • A Water Class D license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ);
  • A Wastewater Collection I license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
