Description
Under general supervision, this position provides maintenance and repair support for wastewater operations.
Examples of Duties
- Provides technical support in consultation with crew leaders on site plans, utility reviews, and locations;
- Performs inspections;
- Ensures an adequate supply of inventories of all parts and equipment;
- Transports equipment and sets up safety zones;
- Instructs staff for job preparation;
- Fixes problems and handles maintenance;
- Cleans up tools, job sites, and safety equipment;
- Checks and maintains equipment, to include fueling;
- Restocks inventory, parts, and supplies;
- Makes sure daily assignments are completed.
Assists Crew Leader with Administrative Duties
- Assists with administrative tasks as directed by the crew leader.
Experience and Training
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a utility services worker or in a similar position is required.
Certificates and Licenses Required
- A Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain one prior to employment;
- A Water Class D license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ);
- A Wastewater Collection I license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
