About the role

The Senior User Experience Researcher II will play a key role in shaping the future of enterprise software experiences through deep user understanding and research-driven decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to establish and advance UX research practices within a growing product organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research strategy, establish best practices, and translate user insights into actionable improvements across the product lifecycle.
  • Evaluate the current product landscape and develop a UX metrics approach to measure usability, satisfaction, and experience improvements.
  • Lead generative and evaluative research initiatives, conducting original studies when needed and enabling designers and teams to apply effective research methods.
  • Define research strategies and methodologies aligned with product roadmaps, business objectives, and user needs.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to identify research opportunities and solve complex customer challenges.
  • Build and maintain a long-term customer research panel, ensuring effective participant management and representative user samples.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into clear recommendations that influence product strategy and design decisions.
  • Present research insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Establish responsible AI practices within UX research, including validating AI-generated outputs, protecting customer information, and documenting research processes.
  • Mentor and guide designers and junior researchers by sharing best practices, providing feedback, and improving research capabilities.
  • Promote a user-centered culture by advocating for customer needs throughout product development and iteration.

Requirements

  • Extensive UX research experience, strong analytical abilities, and the communication skills needed to influence complex product decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 9+ years of experience in UX research or a related discipline, including experience with enterprise software or data-heavy products.
  • Proven experience leading research projects that have influenced product direction and user experience improvements.
  • Expertise across multiple research methodologies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies, and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance research workflows, synthesize findings, and develop research materials.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and communicate complex research initiatives.
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, empathy, and the ability to understand complex user workflows.
  • Experience working independently in remote environments while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with finance-related enterprise software, data-intensive applications, or complex business workflows is preferred.
  • Advanced degree in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field is a plus.
