Senior Underwriting Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provides underwriting counsel and authorization for real estate title insurance commitments and policies
• Utilizes underwriting standards within authority limits for title insurance issuance
• Guides personnel in real estate settlement services
• Issues underwriting standards according to company processes
• Communicates underwriting information to the team
• Performs other assigned duties

Qualifications

• Law Degree required
• Admitted to practice in Texas or Oklahoma
• Licensed to practice law, in good standing
• 8-10 years of title underwriting experience
• Experience in Texas or Oklahoma title underwriting
• Familiarity with real estate law
• Understanding of Federal and State regulations related to title insurance and settlement services
