Senior Underwriter - Southeast
About The Role
The Senior Underwriter is a key member of the underwriting team reporting to the Regional Underwriting Manager. The primary goal of this position is to profitably grow a book of business by actively partnering with Agents and working effectively with colleagues throughout the organization. This person will plan and budget for the book of business, develop and maintain agency relationships, and execute underwriting decisions.
What You'll Do
- Reviewing your book of business, tracking performance, and analyzing market conditions and competition.
- Building and managing broker relationships, developing goals and strategies, and collaborating to craft tailored solutions for members.
- Oversight of new and renewal underwriting, selection of risks per company guidelines, and ensuring timely follow-up and closing of accounts.
What You'll Need
- At least 5 years of experience underwriting, preferably in the high net worth space.
- Comfortable owning a book of business.
- Direct, empathetic communication.
- Knowledge of gathering and analyzing data to make decisions on risks.

Pay
The base salary for this role can range from $75,000 to $95,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
