Senior Underwriter, Cyber/E&O Sompo Pro

About the role

Sompo is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Cyber/E&O to join the Sompo Pro team. The role is based in Dallas, TX and focuses on underwriting a range of professional liability products while collaborating with a network of brokers committed to long‑term partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers.
• Evaluate all individual risk characteristics and properly determine capacity, attachment point, terms, and pricing.
• Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships and identify and develop new relationships within the South‑Central wholesale marketplace.
• Develop and execute marketing plans aimed at retaining existing business and generating new opportunities that align with the Sompo Pro division’s risk appetite.
• Effectively interact, communicate, and negotiate with all levels of external and internal business partners.

Requirements

• Established relationships within the wholesale network in the South‑Central marketplace.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional‑lines underwriting experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 10 % of the time.
