Senior Unarmed Security Guard

Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervises Security and Transportation personnel on assigned shifts to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Tours the center periodically to insure a continual awareness of center activity.
- In the absence of the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager, function on assigned shift as primary on center contact for on-duty supervisors, law enforcement agencies and other on-duty staff for immediate response to situations requiring Safety, Security and Transportation staff attention.
- Performs security advisor/officer duties and provides supervision to staff to protect life and property against theft, vandalism, misappropriation, fire, flood, or similar disaster on assigned shift in compliance with government, corporate, and management directives.
- Maintains a logbook, registering all calls received, unusual occurrences, observations and decisions made, or action taken.
- Informs the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager and/or the Center Director of anything that warrants immediate attention, including major incidents, extreme emergencies, unscheduled arrival of important visitors, etc.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two-years related experience and/or training with organized security department preferred.
- Prefer Bachelor's degree in related field or 4 years professional experience working with youth preferred.
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record preferred.
- Prefer Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.
