About The Role
We are seeking a Senior UI Developer (React & TypeScript) to design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. In this role, you will leverage React 18+, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices to build high-performing applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, optimize application performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React 18+, leveraging modern features such as hooks, concurrent rendering, and component-driven architecture.
- Build reusable, responsive, and high-performing UI components using JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality.
- Apply frontend architecture best practices and implement efficient state management solutions using Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand.
- Implement and monitor application telemetry using tools such as Application Insights and OpenTelemetry to track application health, performance, and user behavior.
- Analyze and contribute to KPI reviews, including Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), page performance metrics, and user engagement analytics.
- Optimize application performance through techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, memoization, and efficient rendering strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting activities using tools such as Jest and React Testing Library to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, designers, and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions and enhancements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote frontend engineering best practices across development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience developing and maintaining web applications using React 18+.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Experience building reusable UI components and integrating applications with RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of modern state management solutions, including Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand.
- Experience implementing application monitoring and telemetry solutions using tools such as Application Insights or OpenTelemetry.
- Understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques and web performance best practices.
- Experience with software testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaborative software delivery practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications

Benefits
- The annual salary for this position is between $68,442 to $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
