Senior Trial Attorney

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-trial preparation and trial strategy.
• Delegate and supervise assignments for junior attorneys and staff.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
• Argue substantive motions in court.
• Independently manage and litigate a full case docket.
• Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments for clients and leadership.
• Engage in discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Examine and cross-examine witnesses at trial; respond to evidentiary objections.
• Attend and lead hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements leveraging deep case knowledge.
• Prepare, argue, and litigate a diverse roster of cases through trial.
• Provide strategic legal advice and complex case analysis.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 4-5 Years Trial Experience
• 5-10 First Chair Jury Trials
• Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization and time management skills, along with the ability to work under tight deadlines and execute efficiently against multiple, high-priority and high-volume projects in a fast-paced environment
• Superior drafting, and writing skills, as well as having the interest to analyze legal issues with a solution based mindset
• A high degree of self-accountability and ownership
• Ability to interact and communicate with judges, attorneys, staff, and clients
• Enthusiasm for developing skills and experience alongside an evolving business with innovative ideas
• Experience with and adaptability to new technology and software application systems
