Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-trial preparation and trial strategy.
- Delegate and supervise assignments for junior attorneys and staff.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
- Argue substantive motions in court.
- Independently manage and litigate a full case docket.
- Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments for clients and leadership.
- Engage in discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Examine and cross-examine witnesses at trial; respond to evidentiary objections.
- Attend and lead hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements leveraging deep case knowledge.
- Prepare, argue, and litigate a diverse roster of cases through trial.
- Provide strategic legal advice and complex case analysis.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 4-5 Years Trial Experience
- 5-10 First Chair Jury Trials
- Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization and time management skills, along with the ability to work under tight deadlines and execute efficiently against multiple, high-priority and high-volume projects in a fast-paced environment
- Superior drafting, and writing skills, as well as having the interest to analyze legal issues with a solution based mindset
- A high degree of self-accountability and ownership
- Ability to interact and communicate with judges, attorneys, staff, and clients
- Enthusiasm for developing skills and experience alongside an evolving business with innovative ideas
- Experience with and adaptability to new technology and software application systems
