About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Trial Attorney with 5+ years of trial experience, preferably in No-Fault litigation. This role involves handling litigation files from inception through the entire discovery process to conclusion, including service of pleadings, written discovery, expert retainment, depositions, court hearings, and trial preparation. The successful candidate will also take cases to trial that are assigned by others and maintain regular communication with claims professionals. Leadership potential is available as we continue to expand.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation files from inception through discovery to conclusion.
• Serve pleadings, conduct written discovery, retain experts, and attend depositions.
• Attend court hearings and prepare files for trial.
• Take assigned cases to trial.
• Communicate file status regularly to claims professionals.
• Manage a time-sensitive caseload independently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience handling No-Fault litigation from inception to conclusion.
• Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law.
• Proven track record of trial skills and techniques.
• Strong negotiation, research, and trial skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment with attorneys, adjusters, claims professionals, and support staff.
• Law degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Active law license to practice in Michigan and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Google, and Westlaw.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and advocacy skills.

Pay

Starting salary: $150,000 - $200,000.

Schedule

Flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (e.g., 8–4, 8:30–4:30, or 9–5). Hybrid schedule: four days onsite and one day remote per week.

Work Environment

Working conditions are typical of an office environment. Required duties include prompt and regular attendance, frequent movement within the office, extended periods of standing, sitting, and typing, and lifting/carrying up to 10-20 lbs. Ability to communicate frequently with others in person, on the phone, virtually, and in writing.
