Wells Fargo is looking for a Senior Treasury Analyst to join the BSIRRM product strategy and analytics team. This position supports balance sheet and interest rate risk management for trading and trading-related asset and liability products, concentrating on product strategy, models, and analytics. The role collaborates with Liquidity Risk, Capital, Balance Sheet Optimization, Investment Portfolio, and other business finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as senior consultant to finance, accounting, and business line management on matters related to corporate treasury and financial management, with a focus on trading portfolio strategy and analytics.
- Monitor and evaluate global market conditions, funding requirements, asset and liability management, liquidity risk management, capital management, financial performance management, and related activities.
- Provide advisory on treasury finance and risk strategies.
- Lead targeted projects, including guiding teammates and new business initiatives.
- Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management, Model Governance teams, and external parties including regulatory agencies and accounting/consulting firms.
- Make recommendations to senior group members and management.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Interact with internal customers and receive direction from leaders while exercising independent judgment.
- Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of product strategy, including product terms, pricing strategies, and the industry landscape across various macroeconomic and interest rate environments.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of product behaviors and customer expectations under different interest rate scenarios and stress tests, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Be responsible for complex reporting and analytics on treasury finance metrics, leveraging emerging AI and data visualization tools.
- Ensure accurate recurring deliverables are completed and compliant with treasury risk management regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and analyzing interest income and balance sheet behavior, with a focus on trading and trading-related products.
- Knowledge of financial institution balance sheets, product offerings, and financial risk management, particularly in capital markets.
- Deep understanding of asset liability management and interest rate risk management concepts, with the ability to apply these principles to trading and trading-related products.
- Experience in financial modeling, including development and application of models to analyze financial data and support strategic decision-making.
- Experience leveraging artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics tools to improve forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, data management, and business process efficiency.
- Ability to identify opportunities to apply AI-enabled solutions to complex balance sheet, interest rate risk, liquidity, and financial management processes while ensuring strong governance, controls, and data integrity.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to a broad range of audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or large-scale individual projects, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic thinking.
- Experience with regulatory requirements surrounding the management of model risk, interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital.
- Experience assessing the adequacy of policies, procedures, and processes, including compliance and operational controls within a large, complex organization.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment, prioritize tasks, learn quickly, provide superior customer service, and take on new challenges with a strategic mindset.
