You’ll be doing things like: Managing day-to-day liquidity across Shopify's global treasury operations, including cash positioning, investment management, reconciliation, forecasting, and reporting, while continuously improving our processes and controlsUsing AI reflexively to identify automation opportunities and build the tools that act on them; streamlining treasury workflows in ways that drive efficiency without giving up control. Prompting, coding, and shipping are all part of the job hereCollaborating with Finance Engineering, Product, and other cross-functional teams to support treasury initiatives and projectsAssisting in managing foreign exchange exposure and hedging activitiesSupporting bank administration functions including opening, closing and maintaining bank accounts, securing banking services, and supporting KYC & AML compliance requirementsPlanning and instituting business continuity processes and business impact analyses What you bring to the team: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldDemonstrated corporate treasury experience; you understand liquidity management, bank account administration, and cash forecasting from the insideFamiliarity with AI tools and willingness to use them reflexively as part of your daily workflowStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a passion for leveraging data and AI tooling to drive decisionsA builder's mentality and a proven track record of execution and impact — especially creating processes and systems from scratch in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, and leading yourself in a remote environmentSuperior written and verbal communication skills, business partnering expertise, and a team-oriented focus It’d be great if you have: A designation, CFA, CPA, CTP or equivalent professional designationExperience with technology, fintech, or SaaS-based business models; you understand what it means to be an enabler of product, not a gatekeeperHands-on experience building tools or automations using AI to codeFamiliarity with Treasury Management Systems (like Modern Treasury) and multi-currency FX management About Shopify Opportunity is not evenly distributed.
