Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the preparation of design and construction bid documents for transportation (roadway) projects involving multi-modal accommodations (Complete Streets) including corridor, intersection, and downtown improvements
- Effectively present at meetings with clients and the public
- Maintain project financials/budgets, schedules, and project advancement
- Manage/mentor staff and provide guidance, manage workloads, and provide issue resolution
- Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts
- Maintain communication with clients including municipalities and regional agencies
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- 12 + years of experience in the transportation engineering field including roadway design and project management
- Broad understanding of transportation design and planning standards, specifically standards and submission processes for state agencies, such as MassDOT, RIDOT, or NHDOT
- Professional Engineering License
- Demonstrated effectiveness in planning and managing projects as well as maintaining budgets and schedules
- Must be skilled at building and maintaining positive client relations
- Must be motivated with a desire for personal growth and advancement, as well as firm growth
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Effective at managing and mentoring staff
- Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in the design and management of transportation projects for a hybrid role in our Providence, RI Transportation Practice.
We prefer candidates in Providence, RI but will consider those in any New England location as long as they can travel to our client sites in RI, MA and CT.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
12 + years of experience in the transportation engineering field including roadway design and project management
Broad understanding of transportation design and planning standards, specifically standards and submission processes for state agencies, such as MassDOT, RIDOT, or NHDOT
