Senior Transportation Engineer – Project Manager

About the role

The Southeast division of Ayres is seeking a senior transportation professional with a strong background in managing and executing transportation projects for FDOT and local governments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue marketing opportunities to win transportation projects from clients including FDOT, cities, counties, and municipalities.
• Lead the management of projects, overseeing the production of all project work, ensuring timely delivery, profitability, and adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain and build respectful working relationships with project managers and other company leaders.
• Support and participate in the development and mentorship of staff.
• Engage actively in professional organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
• Registered professional engineer (PE) in Florida.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation project management.
• Solid project management and business development skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Desired Skills and Experiences

• Urban and rural roadway design.
• PD&E and corridor studies.
• Lighting and signalization design.
• A passion for representing Ayres Associates professionally.
