Senior Transportation Engineer - Eastern PA Region

Responsibilities

  • Play a vital role in expanding WRA’s presence in eastern Pennsylvania.
  • Hire and mentor staff.
  • Help guide the overall direction of WRA’s growth and expansion in eastern Pennsylvania and support growth throughout the company.
  • Collaborate on project pursuits and delivery throughout the state with the Pennsylvania leadership team.
  • Pursue and manage transportation projects with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, particularly PennDOT Districts 5-0 and 6-0, as well as the City of Philadelphia and other municipalities, counties, and regional planning organizations.
  • Support the firm’s strategic transportation initiatives within the eastern Pennsylvania market.
  • Part of the Pennsylvania leadership team that collaborates on project pursuits and delivery throughout the state.
  • Grow and direct the eastern Pennsylvania transportation practice.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in the transportation industry leading multi-disciplined experts.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or have the ability to become licensed within 6 months through comity from another state.
  • Track record of developing and growing markets and cultivating outstanding internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff of all levels, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.
  • Strong communication and business development skills including writing proposals, scopes of work, scheduling, and budgets for projected work.
  • Demonstrated experience leading transportation contracts in PA.
  • Alternative Project Delivery experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of PennDOT Policies and Procedures.
