Senior Transportation Engineer

About the role

The Transportation Services Department at Barry Isett & Associates (Isett) is currently hiring a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5-15 years' of experience in road/street design and PennDOT approval experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic impact studies, safety studies, and audits
• Design traffic signals and traffic calming measures
• Design school zones, intersections, and roadways
• Design trail and bikeway systems
• Coordinate right-of-way conveyances and existing pavement analyses
• Manage construction projects
• Prepare PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permits (HOP)
• Design railroad crossing facilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or similar engineering software
• Knowledge of Synchro and HCS software
• Technical skills and experience in equipment selection and cost estimating

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-15 years of relevant experience
• Experience with PennDOT approval processes
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Skills

• AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or similar engineering software
• Synchro & HCS Experience
• Technical knowledge and/or previous experience in areas such as equipment selection, and cost estimating
