Senior Transportation Engineer

About the role

The Transportation Services Department at Barry Isett & Associates (Isett) is currently hiring a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5-15 years' of experience in road/street design and PennDOT approval experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic impact studies, safety studies, and audits
• Design and retiming of traffic signals
• Develop traffic calming designs and school zone designs
• Design and coordinate roadway and trail/bikeway designs
• Conduct existing pavement analyses and manage construction projects
• Handle PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permitting (HOP) and railroad crossing designs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or similar engineering software
• Knowledge of Synchro and HCS software
• Experience in equipment selection and cost estimating

Qualifications

• Experience in road/street design and PennDOT approval experience
• Ability to work in multiple Northeast PA office locations
