Senior Transportation Engineer

About the role

The Transportation Services Department at Barry Isett & Associates (Isett) is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with 5-15 years of experience in road/street design and PennDOT approval experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic impact studies
• Perform safety studies and audits
• Design traffic signal retiming and signals
• Develop traffic-calming designs
• Plan and design school zones
• Design roadways and trail/bikeway systems
• Coordinate right-of-way conveyances
• Analyze existing pavements
• Manage construction projects
• Handle PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permits (HOP)
• Design railroad crossing layouts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or similar engineering software
• Knowledge of Synchro and HCS software
• Experience with equipment selection and cost estimating
