Senior Transmission Line Engineer 1 - Grid
About the role
This position offers the opportunity to apply and expand your knowledge of transmission line engineering, including conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations, and electrical principles to design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range. You will be responsible for cost analyses, development of design criteria, routing and siting of transmission lines, conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding, and induction studies. The role involves working with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components, directing a small project team, and mentoring less experienced staff. You will collaborate with a diverse client base, interact with project teams, and occasionally travel for site visits and client meetings. Additionally, you will develop proposals and cost estimates for new work.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of spending three days a week in the office and two days working remotely. A generous relocation package is available, dependent upon your location.
