About the role

Baker Tilly is seeking to add a Senior Consultant to our Transaction Services team within our Financial Advisory practice. This role involves providing due diligence and transaction advisory services to a diverse client base, including privately held and publicly traded companies, private equity funds, mezzanine funds, banks, and business development companies.

Responsibilities

  • Interact directly with Partners on matters related to client and engagement management.
  • Data gathering, document review and preparation of quality of earnings reports.
  • Research and financial analysis of target companies.
  • Due diligence for both buy side, sell side, and corporate finance transactions.
  • Communication with clients to ensure delivery of exceptional client service.
  • Participation in various marketing and recruiting activities of the firm.
  • Opportunities for career development and advancement within the transaction advisory services group.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, with a CPA designation preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of relative experience, preferably in a mid to large size professional services firm performing audits and related services for a diverse client base.
  • At least two (2) years of transaction services / due diligence experience, highly preferred.
  • Professional designations or candidacy (CFE, CFA, etc.) and/or an advanced degree are a plus.
  • High motivation, initiative, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities appropriately.
  • Intermediate modeling and Excel skills, experience conducting complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis, and ability to generate data-driven insights.
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, experience presenting analyses to management, and ability to lead and drive initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively and thrive in a team environment with all levels of client personnel in various industries.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior-level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings.

Pay

The pay rate range for this job position is $96,290 - $144,450. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.
