Senior Traffic Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to support and grow our Transportation Practice in one of our Ohio offices (Dayton, Cleveland, or Columbus).

Responsibilities

• Traffic impact studies
• Traffic operations analyses
• Safety studies
• Signal system design
• Signal timing plans
• Maintenance of traffic
• Pavement markings and signage
• Highway lighting design
• Corridor studies
• Balance performing design work and assisting in sales efforts
• Project/task and client management
• Maintain client relationships
• Occasionally visit work sites, monitoring project progress and reporting findings
• Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site
• Occasional travel may be required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• P.E. license
• 7 to 15 years' experience
• Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, VISSIM, AutoCAD/MicroStation/Geopak/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual

Preferred Qualifications

• PTOE license
• Experience with Travel Demand Modeling Software (TransCAD, CUBE), ArcGIS, SignCAD
• Experience with ODOT and/or OH municipalities

• Ability to mentor, direct activities and supervise work of other engineers

• Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency

Pay

$114,000 - $140,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
