Senior Traffic Engineer

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Traffic/ITS Engineer to join our growing Transportation design practice in the Orlando, FL office. Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer-of-Record, Senior Engineer, and/or Project Manager for various Traffic sub-disciplines (ITS, Lighting, Signals, and/or Signing & Marking).
• Perform engineering and analysis tasks associated with Dewberry’s CFX GEC contract.
• Collaborate with other Transportation Discipline Leaders and Project Managers.
• Prepare marketing materials and serve as Traffic/ITS Lead for project pursuits.
• Oversee engineering design and analysis, and mentor less-experienced engineers.
• Perform traffic modeling and alternatives analysis.
• Perform QC reviews of design analyses and plans prepared by staff and other consultants.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with transportation clients across Florida.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant Traffic/ITS design experience, preferably with FDOT.
• Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong desire to be an important member of a high-performing team.
