About the role

Prime Video is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own and drive delivery for high-impact programs in the core content platform. This role will help users worldwide enjoy live events, movies, and TV shows on mobile devices, living room devices, and the web. You will shape the future of entertainment by managing key strategic programs that have a global impact, leading product and service launches, and delivering innovative features to customers.

The Senior TPM role requires excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, strong technical expertise, and the ability to partner effectively across teams within and outside Amazon. You will evolve architecture with a background in distributed cloud computing and innovate on content publishing engineering and science.

Responsibilities

  • Manage important technology programs with broad cross-organizational and/or cross-business impact. Define requirements, negotiate priorities, and deliver solutions.
  • Resolve significantly complex problems and provide long-term solutions that are as simple as possible.
  • Improve architectural quality and reduce bottlenecks while operating with autonomy and high judgment.
  • Identify and tackle intrinsically hard problems (e.g., highly complex, ambiguous, or extremely complicated issues with significant business or security risk).
  • Represent complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to leaders both verbally and in writing.
  • Build consensus and align teams toward coherent technology strategies.
  • Champion and prioritize new product requirements and features for development.
  • Identify short and long-term product opportunities, provide actionable recommendations, and influence stakeholders.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor programs while managing risks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges for customers and validate new integration launches.
  • Own long-running programs to improve Prime Video’s reliability for customers, including direct ownership of goals with visibility throughout Prime Video.
  • Work with teams across Prime Video, Amazon, and AWS to influence organizational roadmaps and strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design.
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million-dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

Pay

Base salary range: $148,700 - $201,200 USD annually (locations: Culver City, CA; Seattle, WA). Your compensation package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
