Job Summary

About the Role

The Teller II or Senior Teller position at Florence Bank involves handling various customer transactions in a courteous, professional, and accurate manner, while adhering to bank policies and procedures. This includes deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, cash advances, and issuing money orders and official checks. The role also requires operating and balancing a cash drawer daily, processing night deposit bags following bank guidelines, participating in the balancing of ATMs, creating awareness about bank products and services, attempting to answer and/or resolve customer inquiries/problems, protecting the confidentiality of non-public personal information, maintaining a working knowledge of the BSA requirements and related policies and procedures, and providing support to all branches.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers.
• Consistently meets expectations of teamwork, punctuality, and regular, reliable attendance.
• Performs a variety of teller duties including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, cash advances, and issuing money orders and official checks.
• Operates and balances a cash drawer daily.
• Processes night deposit bags following bank guidelines.
• Participates in the balancing of ATMs.
• Creates awareness about bank products and services and refers customers to appropriate employees.
• Attempts to answer and/or resolve customer inquiries/problems.
• Protects the confidentiality of non-public personal information while maintaining a focus on fraud prevention.
• Maintains a working knowledge of the BSA requirements and related policies and procedures.
• Provides support to all branches.
• Assumes additional responsibilities, as requested.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a customer service-related position is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• A strong aptitude in math is required.
• A strong knowledge of current technology and ability to adapt to changing technology is necessary.
• General office environment. Stands for an extended period (up to 7.5 hours per day). Counts cash/coin for an extended period (up to 6 hours per day). Uses computer keyboard for an extended period (up to 3 hours per day). Carries bags of coin (up to 25 pounds).

Qualifications

Pay

The salary range for this position is $17.80 to $22.54, with compensation for this position being commensurate with experience.
