About the role

The Senior Telecommunications Technician performs technical and analytical work involving the planning, installation, configuration, documentation, repair, and operational support of telecommunications infrastructure systems throughout the hospital complex and all off-site locations and subsidiaries. This role mentors other Telecommunication Technicians and leads the team on the use and understanding of technical manuals, reference materials, and technical aspects of all telecommunications systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, configure, document, repair, and support telecommunications infrastructure systems.
• Mentor other Telecommunication Technicians on technical manuals and reference materials.
• Lead the team in understanding technical aspects of all telecommunications systems.
• Train or present to large groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Additional specialized training in installing, maintaining, and operating communication systems required.
• Four years of experience in telecommunications, data communications, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience training or presenting to large groups.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $34.35 to $46.46 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
