Senior Telecommunications Detail Engineer – Central Office and DC Power
Core Responsibilities
- Create new process platforms and resolve project-related issues using defined processes.
- Work on multiple programs and projects concurrently.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and other company employees to complete all aspects of the business requirement.
- Mastery of installation requirements per Telco Standard TP76300 (AT&T) and ability to engineer/create all requirements and documentation with high competence and accuracy.
- Comprehensive equipment engineering skills on a wide variety of installations and systems, including Central Office DC Power and Battery Systems, current Data Centers and Cloud equipment technologies, low/high-density fiber systems, Remote Terminals, Central Office and Data Center Infrastructure, and Supervisory / Alarm Systems.
- Familiarity with system integration requirements of common Telecom and Data equipment utilizing computers, test equipment, and testing/diagnostic software.
- Perform/coordinate onsite site surveys at customer locations.
- Interpret general network diagrams and site survey information to determine the placement of new equipment, parts required for installation, cable type and connections, and power equipment needs.
- Create detailed engineering plans, documents and drawings for transport/access networks and co-locations for Central Office, IDCs, Data Centers, COLOs, Power Systems, and remote environments.
- Possess the ability to research manufacturer documentation on specific equipment to ensure the proper equipment is ordered and then explain how to install the equipment.
- Maintain an elevated level of understanding of all company policies and practices, safety procedures, paperwork, and administrative requirements.
- Comply with system update requirements of all company/customer installation documents.
Core Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of Telecom DC Power, Infrastructure and Central Office Detail Engineering experience or combination of experience and training as determined by company.
- Experience with AT&T Systems such as EJF, VIPS, AOTs and Inventory Systems a plus.
- High school diploma with four years of technical school or a combination of training and experience related to the communications Detail Engineering field of (10) plus years.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to create instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to work alone or with a team.
- Excellent computer skills and Microsoft 360 experience, including the use of computer programs for diagnosis.
- Travel in your home region and the US without restrictions required for site surveys or meetings when required. The ability to travel internationally is a plus.
- All Expenses are paid by the employer.
- Travel requirement estimate is 10% - 25%.
- Comprehensively understands all company/customer policies and procedures and safety requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces during Site Surveys.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass all pre-employment background checks and must be insurable.
- Valid Passport a plus.

Pay Information
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. In addition to wages, employees may also be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.

Base Pay Range: $87,000 USD - $105,000 USD
