As a key member of Castrol’s Research & Technology Group, you will serve as the regional contact for the Data Center cooling fluids portfolio. In this strategic growth market, you will drive innovations linked to AI, digitalization, and sustainability, delivering coordinated solutions to internal and external stakeholders in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Product and Formulation
    • Develop deep expertise in Castrol’s data center cooling fluids portfolio, including product characteristics, application scenarios, and industry standards to deliver practical solutions.
    • Advise on emerging technologies, materials, processes, and standards while maintaining in-depth knowledge of formulations and performance to support internal and external collaborators.
    • Benchmark competitor products and define Castrol’s value proposition through robust performance evaluations.
    • Support new product launches, ensuring compliance with global standards and substantiated claims.
  • Technical Support and Service
    • Apply systematic problem-solving tools to resolve complex technical issues.
    • Deliver technical presentations and training to internal teams and customers.
    • Develop operational, service, and maintenance guidelines in collaboration with technical support teams.
    • Support operations and supply chain in root cause analysis of quality issues, customer complaints, and product documentation.
  • Project Management
    • Lead or support projects in TMS/ODIMS, contributing ideas to enhance Castrol’s technology and business growth.
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product implementation and customer adoption.
    • Develop methodologies and guidelines for efficient technical project management.
  • Innovation and Engineering
    • Drive innovation by researching emerging trends in data center cooling, immersion technologies, and thermal management.
    • Identify and support the development of new test methods and equipment for the sector.
    • Represent Castrol in industry associations, standardization committees, and conferences to shape future standards and strengthen Castrol’s influence.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure daily operations align with bp’s values, code of conduct, and internal policies.
    • Assess market and regulatory requirements to inform innovation and new product development.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong international and intercultural communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ideally, hands-on experience in data centers, IT hardware, direct liquid cooling, or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem analysis, experimental design, data processing, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in technical development and technology deployment, particularly in turning ideas into solutions.
  • Established connections with industrial partners, including companies, institutes, and researchers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams.

Pay

Base salary range: €105,000 – €160,000.

Schedule

  • Hybrid of office and remote working.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
