The Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC, leads and supports HVACR operations by coordinating work assignments, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment quality standards. This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and managing resources to optimize system performance. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to implement improvements, provide technical training, and uphold company policies and values. The Senior Technician contributes to operational excellence by applying expertise to meet business priorities, support continuous improvement, and deliver reliable HVACR services that align with organizational goals and customer needs.

What you'll do

  • Lead and participate in HVACR teams to coordinate and execute maintenance and repair work aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVACR industry regulations by performing inspections, repairs, and refrigerant management.
  • Manage HVACR parts inventory, track usage, and develop supplier relationships to support maintenance operations.
  • Provide training and hands-on support to technicians, evaluating skill sets and promoting best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain HVACR and Energy Management Systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Compile budget reports, submit warranty claims, and develop scopes of work for equipment replacement projects.
  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and recommending operational enhancements.

What you'll bring

  • Extensive experience in HVAC and refrigeration repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPA regulations and compliance related to refrigerants and environmental safety.
  • Proven ability to lead and support teams, providing coaching and technical guidance.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local HVACR codes and industry standards.
  • Skilled in managing HVACR parts inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Experience conducting inspections, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining equipment performance.
  • Able to compile and report budget information and manage project scopes effectively.
  • Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
