Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, OR 7 years' experience in one of these trades
• Alternative qualification: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area OR 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
• 1 year's experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years
• Can lift up to 75 lbs.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

Pay

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications and other job-related factors. Additional bonus available for this role will be disclosed during the interview process.
