About the role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our Pittsburgh-based team supporting the build, testing, and validation of advanced electromechanical systems — primarily focused on autonomous and electric vehicle platforms. This is a hands-on, senior-level technician role for someone with deep electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in complex wire harness fabrication, with the proven ability to execute builds from a Bill of Materials (BOM) and schematics.
- Support prototype builds, retrofits, and system integrations for advanced vehicle programs.
- Assemble, diagnose, and repair electromechanical systems.
- Able to perform at a high level in a rapid prototype research and development environment.
- Create concise documentation of work being performed.
- Maintain high safety and quality standards across all work performed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experienced with harness fabrication and assembly
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems—CAN, Ethernet, low-voltage, sensors, and actuators
- Expected to work efficiently and collaboratively within a close knit team environment
- Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electromechanical issues
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Bonus Skills
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or equivalent industry-standard harness fabrication certification
- Prior experience in a rapid prototyping environment
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with CAD or harness design software such as EB-CAD or SolidWorks Electrical
- Familiarity with flashing ECUs and basic diagnostics using UDS or OBD tools
- Knowledge of vehicle safety systems and industry quality standards
Location and Schedule
This role is based in our Pittsburgh office and requires in-office days each week.
Pay
Salary Range: $84,000 USD - $109,500 USD
