Senior Technical Writer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high quality technical documentation for complex products and systems
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content
- Research, analyze, and interpret technical information to create clear and concise documentation
- Develop and implement documentation standards, processes, and best practices
- Review and edit technical documents for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical writers
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technical writing tools and methodologies
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in technical writing, preferably in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of technical writing principles, style guides, and documentation standards
- Proficiency in using authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Experience in managing documentation projects and teams
- Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction
About the Role
Join us at Honeywell and make a difference in shaping the future of our technical documentation practices. You will report directly to Engineering Manager and work on-site out of our Northfield, CT location following a hybrid schedule.
Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday through Friday.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $83,200 to $104,000.
