About the role

The Senior Technical Specialist will help coordinate and develop content for the Canon U.S.A., Inc. website and other digital platforms including social media. This will involve ideating, writing, planning, capturing, and editing content as well as tracking the progress of those projects, ensuring the timely delivery of content.

Responsibilities

  • Product launch content creation: Related to product launches from talking head videos to shorter form content for social media.
  • Compelling Milestone Storytelling: Craft impactful content that celebrates key seasonal moments, holidays, and milestones, keeping our brand relevant and exciting year-round.
  • On-Set Creative Partnership: Provide technical and creative vision on set for photo and video shoots, collaborating with teams both domestically and abroad.
  • Live Event & Trade Show Content: Capture the energy of our industry-leading trade shows and events, creating and delivering real-time content for our digital platforms.
  • SEO & Content Optimization: Strategically transform video assets into written narratives for our website, boosting our visibility and SEO rankings.
  • Creative Strategy & Innovation: Bring your bold, assertive ideas to the table, helping to shape our marketing initiatives throughout the year.
  • Project Management Excellence: Keep our content pipeline flowing smoothly with organized schedules and clear project coordination.
  • Content Distribution: Manage the organization and distribution of content across our digital ecosystem.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze performance metrics and create reports that turn data into actionable strategies for future marketing success.

Requirements

Experience: 5-7 years of professional marketing experience in an agency or in-house environment.

Deep Product Expertise: A passion for and deep understanding of Canon’s technology, especially mirrorless and cinema cameras and lenses.

Hands-On Experience: Proven ability to create high-quality content using Canon cameras, lenses, and cinema products, as well as editing, independently or as part of a creative team.

Creative Confidence: A "think outside the box" mindset with the poise to serve as an on-camera presence when the story calls for it.

Travel Flexibility: Must be available for 50% travel for photo shoots, trade shows, and team meetings. Required to travel to headquarters when needed.

Qualifications

Exceptional Communication: Stellar verbal and written skills, with experience developing scripts, storyboards, and collaborating with industry professionals like our Canon Explorers of Light.

Skills

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay

$76,150 - $114,040 annually.
