Senior Technical Program Manager, Live Sports Advertising

We are looking for a motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead our global expansion and onboarding roadmap for live streaming advertising products. This role supports Prime Video’s growth in Live Sports, including NFL’s Thursday Night Football, NHL in Canada, and Champions League soccer in the UK and EU. You will help build a world-class live sports ad program with unique ad experiences that benefit customers, advertisers, and league partners, enabling multi-device viewing across Prime Video, Twitch, and other first-party streaming apps.

About the role

In this role, you will own the global expansion and onboarding roadmap for our live streaming advertising products. You will partner with engineering and UX teams across Amazon Advertising and Prime Video to elevate our ad business, deeply understand our technology stacks (playback, ad insertion, ad serving, measurement, and campaign management), and influence our technical path. You will also collaborate with Live Advertising product and Prime Video Advertising teams to prioritize the roadmap for maximum business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Track Prime Video’s global property rights acquisition
  • Establish the roadmap of technical expansion to new regions, countries, and properties
  • Coordinate development timelines across large engineering organizations to meet strict deadlines
  • Act as a mentor and role model for other team members
  • Interface with finance to manage team budgets and resource requests
  • Work with cross-functional product leaders to drive execution of an ambitious roadmap
  • Serve as the team’s voice across multiple organizational layers and drive multi-year planning
  • Manage executive communications, including preparing documents, scheduling debriefs, and ensuring cohesive messaging

A day in the life

You will collaborate with a program manager to mechanize the tracking of new rights packages Prime Video is considering. You will coordinate across Prime Video, Live Events, and Advertising infrastructure teams to prioritize technical work for onboarding new properties, driving automation and expanding ad innovations. You will establish mechanisms to track development roadmap completion, share progress with Amazon leaders, and escalate as needed to deliver optimal outcomes for viewers, advertisers, and the business.

We are the Advertising in Live Events team, focused on building the most advanced live event advertising platform. Our mission is to enable brands to reach viewers in the most relevant and least disruptive way, bringing digital advertising capabilities to a traditionally linear space and making live sports advertising accessible to all advertisers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs to drive multi-million-dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Pay

Base salary ranges:

  • New York, NY: $163,600 - $221,300 USD annually
  • Seattle, WA: $148,700 - $201,200 USD annually
