Senior Technical Program Manager – Humanoid Robotics Operations

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Generalist Embodied Agent Research (GEAR) group, leading Project GR00T—a moonshot initiative to build the AI brain for humanoid robots. You’ll collaborate with a world-class research team producing influential work in LLMs, foundation models, robotics, embodied AI, and physics simulation.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with researchers and engineers to track daily to-dos, collect requirements, define priorities, and communicate roadblocks to team leads.
• Coordinate with lab operations teams to ensure smooth execution of experiments, maintenance, and logistics.
• Support end-to-end data workflows: collection planning, vendor coordination, validation, and integration with ML pipelines.
• Coordinate with external partners (humanoid robot hardware companies) to align project timelines, deliverables, and integration efforts.
• Track execution across multiple workstreams, monitor blockers, and drive alignment with engineering teams.
• Work with researchers and technical leads to surface shifting priorities, trade-offs, and maintain delivery momentum.
• Present clear, confident status updates to technical collaborators and leadership.
• Manage purchase and maintenance of lab equipment, ensuring hardware availability and functionality.
• Collaborate with facilities to address operational issues for a safe, efficient lab environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years in program or project management roles in AI, robotics, or hardware-software cross-functional environments.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, ideally in AI, robotics, or machine learning.
• Highly meticulous with strong multitasking skills; ability to manage 10+ project threads simultaneously.
• Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and execution mindset; thrives under high pressure.
• Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.
• Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic work environments in competitive AI research.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin for communication with domestic and international partners.
• Based in NVIDIA HQ, Santa Clara, CA, with in-person lab availability.
• Hands-on coding experience; familiarity with Python and ML/AI frameworks.

Skills

• Prior experience coordinating with robotics hardware vendors, contractors, or manufacturing partners.

Pay

Base salary range: $168,000–$258,750 (Level 4) or $200,000–$322,000 (Level 5), plus equity and benefits.
