Role Overview
This position is for a Senior Technical Platform Owner to join a team that owns a business-critical, Kafka-native platform. The role involves translating business problems into technical features, driving backlog prioritization, and owning the product roadmap. The objective is to ensure a sustainable, reliable, and desirable platform that transforms, enriches, and standardizes real-time streaming data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap.
- Prioritize user stories and conduct backlog refinement.
- Translate stakeholder requests into clear user stories.
- Define the definition of done (DoD) for development tasks.
- Collaborate with QA on test case development.
- Manage client relationships, including onboarding and issue resolution.
- Analyze metrics to determine the quality of the user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science is required, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of related experience is required. This must include strong technical product owner experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience as a Product Owner.
- Proficiency with AWS.
- Knowledge of data streaming, data integration, API development, or big data.
- Experience with Jira or Jira Align.
- Familiarity with PI Planning, roadmap development, and backlog refinement.
- Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.
- Proficiency in Business Analysis, Product Lifecycle Management, Product Management, or Project Management.
- A Certified Scrum Master, Certified Agile Practitioner, or equivalent certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous development or engineering experience.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
- SAFe Scrum Master Certification.
