What You'll Do
- Collaborate on a mutli-disciplinary team to deliver end-to-end instructional design for core EdTech learning content, from concept through production
- Create and implement animations and visual content that is pedagogically relevant and appropriate
- Partner with content specialists, product managers, producers, UX/UI, and engineers to translate instructional intent into polished, interactive digital experiences
- Apply principles of UX/UI design, integration design, and systems thinking to new and innovative learning activities
- Drive the playtest feedback loop. Sit in on playtests, make sure findings actually turn into changes, correct content yourself where you can, and escalate the bigger issues to supporting teams
- Design with extensibility in mind. Consider how a given solution could serve broader use cases beyond the immediate ask
- Work fluidly with teachers, engineering, product, and UX to keep everyone aligned on what's being built and why
- Leverage AI and generative AI tools to accelerate content development workflows and improve quality at scale
- Evaluate and refine AI-assisted content for pedagogical soundness, developmental appropriateness, and standards alignment
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or educational content development
- Experience scripting or modding in a game engine environment (Unreal, Blueprints, Lua, Godot, or comparable tools)
- Basic UI/UX sensibilities — you know good experience design when you see it, even if it's not your primary discipline
- A track record of rapid prototyping. You can take existing tools and content and quickly shape them toward a specific experience outcome
- A genuine passion for holistic experience quality: coherence, polish, and deep empathy for the end user's journey
- Strong cross-functional communication skills — you can translate between design, engineering, and product without losing nuance
- Able to manage multiple workstreams and maintain high quality at startup pace
- A portfolio or work samples demonstrating instructional design, interactive content, game design, and/or animation work (please include a link with your application)
Nice to Have

- Experience with adaptive or personalized learning systems
- Experience directly incorporating research findings into product or content decisions
