As a key individual contributor and subject matter expert, you will drive capital equipment sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management. You will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for high-value equipment, automation systems, tooling, and more, partnering with teams across the organization to ensure material readiness and meet targets.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end capital equipment sourcing across multiple advanced product portfolios, including supplier identification, market analysis, RFQ/RFP execution, total cost of ownership modeling, and award decisions for equipment, automation systems, tooling, and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement sourcing approaches that optimize cost efficiency while advancing technical capabilities.
- Lead complex negotiations with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, and service providers, structuring commercial agreements covering pricing, payment terms, warranties, SLAs, and long-lead-time components. Manage the full contract lifecycle, including amendments, renewals, and dispute resolution.
- Develop sourcing frameworks, standard operating procedures, and operating mechanisms that scale with the organization. Support and mentor sourcing managers and buyers through technical guidance.
- Establish and manage supplier performance programs, including scorecards, SLAs, and regular business reviews.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through dual-sourcing strategies, should-cost models, and contingency planning.
- Manage budgets with cost controls, variance tracking, and change management governance.
- Support material planning, inventory strategy, and spare parts availability. Drive cost optimization initiatives with demonstrated results.
- Align equipment procurement timelines with site milestones and schedules in close partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a procurement subject matter expert in cross-functional planning forums. Influence leadership on strategic direction and investment decisions related to the supply chain.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or procurement in an industrial automation or similar technical environment.
- Experience managing CAPEX procurement programs and vendor portfolios for complex environments, including equipment, automation, and tooling.
- Experience leading contract negotiations with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, or construction contractors for agreements of significant value.
- Experience developing sourcing strategies, procurement frameworks, or standard operating procedures.
- Technical background or demonstrated experience in automation or new product introduction.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience in automation, semiconductors, high-tech, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement certifications.
- Experience managing significant CAPEX budgets with demonstrated cost optimization results.
- Experience mentoring or guiding cross-functional teams in a technical product development environment.
- Ability to influence leadership on strategic sourcing and investment decisions.
Pay
Base salary range: $147,900 - $200,100 USD annually.
