Senior Technical Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms built on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data architecture, cloud-native data warehousing, data modeling, governance, security, and modern data engineering practices. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analytics teams, and enterprise architects to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect large-scale solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Train and develop the team to ensure an adequate supply of trained personnel in the technology and mitigate delivery risks.
• Continuously upskill with cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality, future-proof solutions that meet client expectations and industry standards.
• Leverage domain and technical expertise to gather client needs, deliver solutions, and craft a technology strategy aligned with business goals.
• Define data architecture and strategy for Snowflake-based solutions.
• Design Snowflake solutions, including data modeling, integration, and optimization.
• Enable data engineering and integration using modern practices and tools.
• Implement security and governance frameworks for data platforms.
• Optimize performance and cost of Snowflake environments.
• Enable analytics and AI capabilities using Snowflake Cortex or similar tools.

Requirements

• Snowflake Expertise: Snowflake Architecture, Snowflake Data Cloud, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Time Travel & Cloning, Secure Data Sharing, External Tables, Dynamic Tables.
• AI: Snowflake Cortex (preferred) and AI leadership experience.
• Data Engineering: Advanced SQL, Python, DBT, ETL/ELT Frameworks, Data Modeling (Kimball, Data Vault, Dimensional Modeling).
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, EventBridge) or Azure (ADF, ADLS, Synapse).
• Data Governance: Experience with tools like Purview, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, including data lineage, metadata management, and master data management.
• DevOps & Automation: Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Terraform, Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.
