About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Technical Advisor Supply Chain to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for procurement and supply chain management across health programs
- Lead national supply chain strengthening initiatives with health ministries and agencies
- Direct technical support for commodity security across various sectors
- Establish logistics management information systems and ensure data quality for supply decision-making
- Provide technical leadership on cold chain logistics and effective vaccine management
- Advise on quality assurance and regulatory pathways for health commodities
- Lead proposal development and manage relationships with clients, funders, and partners
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or equivalent in relevant field; Doctorate preferred
- 15+ years in specialized technical/medical field with a focus on individual contribution
- Experience as a speaker/presenter at relevant conferences; documented authorship in peer-reviewed publications
- Strong background in developing strategy or performance standards for projects
- Prior experience with NGOs, government agencies, or private organizations; preferred in U.S.-funded health programs
- Preferred fields of study: Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CIPS) is preferred
