As a Senior Technical Product Manager within the Optum Health and Financial Technology Division, you will oversee the development and management of technical products, playing a critical role in aligning product vision with overall business strategy. You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Drive product vision and strategy roadmap for utilization management for Oncology
- Engage appropriate enterprise-wide stakeholders to enable awareness and alignment
- Manage the full product lifecycle with a technical focus, including strategy, design, development, management, and end-of-life of new, existing, or acquired products
- Leverage market insights and emerging technology developments to understand market/customer needs and identify new opportunities or adjust current product offerings
- Balance deep subject matter expertise with knowledge of business use cases and strong technical aptitude
- Deliver product performance in alignment with expectations and update product portfolio changes to improve competitive position and meet customer/market needs
- Accountable for the P&L and cross-functional stakeholder management, including design, engineering, scrum teams, and business leaders
- Function as a technical expert with fluency in development concepts and modern development practices
- Serve as the product champion and apply deep expertise to represent, manage, and engage with business(es)
- Mentor and develop junior product managers, fostering a culture of growth and learning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, product stakeholders, operations) to ensure successful product development and launch
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring features are delivered on time and within budget
- Define and track key product metrics to measure success and make data-driven decisions
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the product
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, gathering feedback and incorporating it into the product roadmap
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role, with a track record of successful product launches
- 5+ years of strong technical background, with a deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- In-depth understanding of Agile product management with best practices and frameworks
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare, specifically Provider and Utilization management

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or LeSS
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Rally and Aha
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to align product strategy with overall business goals
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to gather and understand customer needs
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Pay
The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment, depending on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
