Senior Team Lead - Switchgear- 2nd Shift

About the role

The Senior Team Leader/Cell Lead will oversee personnel and product in their Cell/Project. Responsibilities include personnel training, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. Status of products and personnel will be reported to the production supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Set the pace of work within the cell using IFS routings and data to ensure expectations are met.
• Keep operators on task.
• Review Part Number routings before beginning work and report issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Accurately report schedule - on time, late, or ahead of schedule.
• Request overtime or second shift assistance as necessary.
• Report parts shortages to material handlers.
• Update and fill in appropriate locations for manufacturing traveler and Bus BoM/Kanban usage upon job completion.
• Report worked/hours allocated to jobs.
• Ensure safety within the cell and drive improvement initiatives.
• Check IFS for hours logging errors and have them corrected.
• Execute Change Requests on jobs within the cell.
• Drive efficiency by ensuring team members have all the parts and information needed to meet production goals.
• Proactively flag problems affecting on-time delivery and/or quality before goals are missed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of team leader or supervisor experience.
• Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Able to properly manage time and projects.
• Able to meet project schedules and maintain contingency plans.
• Understand workflows in production and prioritize work.
• Able to understand KPI’s/Metrics.
• Able to lead 5S/Kaizen/Lean events to eliminate waste.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation – such as schematics, assembly drawings, operational manuals, safety rules, and standardized work instructions.

Qualifications
