Senior Team Lead. Air Import, Automotive

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team of air import coordinators and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Cook up with clients, carriers, and customs officials to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all air import shipments
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing air import shipments
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders
  • Provide regular reports on team performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in training and development programs to ensure that team members are up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in air export operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of air export regulations and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in air export operations (e.g., IATA)
  • Experience with air import operations in multiple regions (e.g., Asia, Europe, Americas)
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures in multiple countries
  • Experience with implementing process improvements and driving efficiency gains

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems (e.g., TMS, WMS)
