As a Sr. Teacher, you’ll directly support children’s education every day, experiencing both the challenges and rewards of early childhood education while working alongside a passionate, dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of KinderCare's curriculum, tailoring it to the unique needs of each child.
- Coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
- Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
- Support your center’s success by collaborating with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
Requirements
- 3 years of center-based Early Childhood Education (ECE) experience.
- Meets the education requirements to be a Lead Teacher in the state of WI and a minimum of a level 6 on The Registry.
- Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with them.
- Able to assume postures in low levels to maintain physical and visual contact with children.
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
