About the role
The Tax Senior participates in and leads staff on tax engagements. The Tax Senior will prepare US corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.
Major Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare federal and state corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
- Prepare international informational tax returns.
- Aid with tax provision preparation.
- Aid with tax planning and tax consulting projects.
- Aid with tax research memos for clients, analyzing and applying IRC sections and regulations.
- Represent client before the IRS, including assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements
- 2 - 4 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
- Solid accounting skills.
- Good understanding of federal & state income taxes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field AND a Master’s degree in accounting.
- Advanced degree is preferred.
- Actively working toward CPA certification, if not already obtained.
