About the role

The TurboTax Retail Expert is an onsite, customer-focused professional responsible for providing personalized tax services and building community relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering full-service tax return preparation, advice, and support for a range of tax situations.
• Engage proactively with the community, representing TurboTax, attracting new clients, and fostering loyalty through local marketing efforts.
• Create an exceptional customer experience by understanding clients' financial goals, offering tailored solutions, and building long-term trust.
• Utilize tax expertise and resources to identify deductions, optimize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Participate in marketing activities, content creation, and community engagement to enhance TurboTax’s presence locally.

Qualifications

• Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of experience filing federal and state individual tax returns.
• Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and familiarity with Circular 230 required.
• Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Comfort working onsite in a retail environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high empathy, and excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency with tax software, CRM tools, and technology; ability to work independently.
