Senior Tax Manager/Tax Director

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in the Denver office Compensation: base salary + performance-based bonus Experience: 8-12+ years of public accounting tax experience License: Active CPA required What You'll Do Lead and oversee complex tax engagements from planning through completion.Review and approve complex partnership, S-corporation, individual, estate, and trust tax returns.Provide proactive tax planning and strategic advisory services.Serve as a trusted advisor and primary relationship manager for key clients.Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.Represent clients in IRS and state tax examinations.Analyze and adjust business financial statements in connection with tax engagements.Ensure engagements are completed accurately, timely, within budget, and in compliance with applicable tax regulations.Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to staff and managers.Help improve tax processes, technology, and workflow efficiency.Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and deepen client services.Participate in networking and business development initiatives.Contribute to the firm's strategic direction and long-term growth. What We're Looking For Active CPA license required.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Master's in Taxation preferred.8-12+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.Strong experience with pass-through entities, including partnerships and S corporations.Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts.Strong knowledge of federal and state tax matters, including multi-state taxation.Demonstrated experience reviewing complex tax returns.Strong client relationship management and communication skills.Experience mentoring and developing tax professionals.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience analyzing business financial statements.Ability to manage multiple complex engagements and meet deadlines during busy seasons.Strong professional judgment with a collaborative and proactive approach.Interest in contributing to client growth and business development.Ability to leverage technology and adapt to evolving tax processes and regulations. The selected candidate must be able to work physically from the Denver office 2-3 days per week.
