About the role

Senior Managers in our Private Client Services (PCS) practice oversee multiple engagement teams for a wide range of sophisticated clients, which may include some of the wealthiest families in the US, family offices, owner-operated business entities, alternative investment fund principals, trusts, and estates.

  • Engage in business development activities (e.g., prepare proposals, present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to present a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients).
  • Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns – including federal and state filings.
  • Draft technical tax memoranda.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate interns, associates, and senior associates.
  • Receive formal PCS and on-the-job training in daily interactions with top tax leaders to learn more about legislative changes, wealth transfer techniques, charitable giving strategies, buy/sell agreement planning, etc.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 5 years of Private Client experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree – Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree (preferred).
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (e.g., CPA or JD).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Andersen will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Pay

For individuals hired to work in Massachusetts, the expected base salary range for this role is $155,000 to $210,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
