About the role
Prosperity Partners is seeking an energetic, experienced Senior Tax Manager to support our growing tax practice in Iselin. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years' public accounting experience and possess strong work ethic, exceptional leadership qualities.
Responsibilities
- Manage tax preparation for complex business, individual and trust federal and state income tax returns
- Research and analyze multifaceted tax issues
- Identify and implement tax planning and consulting opportunities
- Work closely with the lead tax partner on sophisticated M&A transactions
- Draft memos and correspond with clients and taxing authorities
- Manage client and internal expectations, grow client relationships and lead staff
- Sell to prospective new clients, prepare job budgets, and draft engagement letters
- Expand their portfolio of clients as well as the firm’s service offerings
- Network with regular contributions to the industry at large
Requirements
- Minimum of ten years’ experience at a regional, national or multi-national accounting firm
- An accounting degree from an accredited four-year university
- CPA certification required; MST is a plus
- A strong ability to manage client and internal expectations, grow client relationships and lead staff
- Proficiency in the selling process, including meeting and corresponding with prospective new clients, preparing job budgets and drafting engagement letters
- Real estate experience is a plus
- A strong understanding of the internal operations of a firm including billing, budgeting, and long term goals
- Excellent analytical and technical skills, including exposure to family office, multi-state, and flow-through taxation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable speaking or presenting in front of clients and peers

Pay
- $150,000 USD - $190,000 USD
