Senior Tax Manager

Milestone Advisors is a Salt Lake City-based firm dedicated to assisting growing businesses with their tax and accounting needs. Our team of tax professionals provides comprehensive support, from proactive planning and compliance to strategic problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns, including Individual, S-Corp, and Partnership returns.
• Supervise the preparation of simple and moderately complicated income tax returns and take primary responsibility for the preparation of complicated tax returns.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for general accounting and bookkeeping.
• Manage client relationships, coordinate with clients, and ensure timely preparation for small and medium-sized engagements.
• Collaborate with leadership on large client engagements, identify issues, and provide solutions.
• Aid in tax planning, compliance, and onboarding new clients while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Train and mentor junior tax staff, offering guidance and supervision on tax matters.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Tax Accounting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent years of experience.
• Active CPA License.
• Experience with leading tax software and bookkeeping software.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local tax codes and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage relationships with staff and clients.

Skills

• Experience with leading tax software and QuickBooks Desktop/Online.
• Proven experience with client and/or staff management.
